Cultura d’Impresa is an event held within the context of Bergamo and Brescia being the Capitals of Culture 2023. It is a photographic collection that narrates the early days of industry and technology.
We were tasked with narrating our city by selecting photos from the Sestini Photographic Archive. These images trace a thread from the culture of work to social customs, early advertisements, and the essence of doing business—from workers to entrepreneurs.
We chose to create a dialogue between opposites: the swimming pools and the steel mill, the bank and the demonstrations. We used parallax effects to bring these incredible shots to new life, aiming to use this technique to convey this reflection on the past with a language that could reach the widest possible audience.
